We can control the strength and shape of cast iron in a variety of ways.
We offer a wide range of cast iron parts, mainly for automobiles.

We mainly manufacture camshafts, which are engine parts, and steering knuckles and housings, which are part of an automobile's suspension and connect the tires to the body.
We can cast both FC and FCD materials and have a wide range of materials of cast iron available.
These products are manufactured after proposing weight reduction and product shape, prototyping and evaluation. Material development may also be required depending on strength requirements. Through the manufacture of cast iron parts, we support transportation and logistics infrastructure around the world.

High-rigidity cast iron ~In-house developed material~

RCD550

In 2014, we obtained a patent for spheroidal graphite cast iron, internally called "RCD550", a material developed in-house that has both high strength and ductility. By controlling the graphite and matrix , this material has high strength and toughness in the as-cast compared to conventional materials, and is easy to reduce weight. It is currently used in steering knuckles and housings.

H-FCD

While maintaining the characteristics of typical cast iron, its main features are "No heat treatment" , "good machinability (compared to FCAD)" , "suppression of water embrittlement."

Suspension and steering parts with lightweighting technology (shape design)

NPR-RIKEN's casting products contributes to the lightweighting of suspension and steering parts for automobile and construction machinery parts.
For steering knuckles and housings, we offer high strength and high stiffness material which has superior elongation and impact value and is further developing more lightweighted product, as light as aluminum alloy, by optimizing structure design technology.
The critical safety parts affecting safety, steerability and riding comfortability are required by customers for considerably high reliance. We will keep meeting such carmakers' requirements with its original technology.
