Titanium-Tantalum Alloy “NiFreeT™”
A nickel-free biomaterial suitable for people with allergies
This is NPR-RIKEN’s proprietary medical-grade alloy composed of titanium, tantalum, and tin. Its properties include biocompatibility, a low Young’s modulus, and corrosion resistance.
As it is nickel-free, it does not cause allergic reactions.
Since this is non-magnetic material, it can be used in MRI, and has high X-ray impermeability.
