We manufacture and sell transmission seal rings, mainly to Japanese companies. Since the period of transition from manual transmission vehicles to automatic transmission vehicles, we have consistently maintained high quality in the products we provide to our customers. We consult with our customers from the design phase of new models, and based on evaluation results using actual equipment at NPR-RIKEN as well as theoretical analysis, we propose specifications that meet our customers’ expectations. These specifications are then evaluated and approved by the customer before being adopted.
By applying these design, evaluation, and technical insights, we are expanding our market reach to include transmission systems for construction machinery and seal rings for compressors that use hydrogen and next-generation refrigerants. In addition, the base materials we mainly use for our seal rings are “super engineering plastics” such as PEEK, PPS, and PTFE, which offer excellent heat resistance, wear resistance, dimensional stability, and suitability as alternatives to metal. We are applying the production expertise we have cultivated with these materials to other products, such as plastic gears and bearing retainer(cage). Furthermore, these materials are highly suitable for growth sectors such as aerospace, defense, and electrification. We are developing products for growth industries that leverage our expertise in flow analysis, molds, and materials technology, and are working to establish a proposal-based business model.
