Protection: Minimizes radiation exposure to the lens and cornea.
Internal Use (Electron Beam Therapy): Inserted underneath the eyelid during Linac*1 treatments.
Backscatter Reduction: Attaching the included aluminum cap suppresses backscatter to the eyelid tissue.
Positioning (Dummy Shield): A dummy shield is available for diagnostic imaging, allowing for precise localization of the treatment area without using the heavy tungsten shield.
External Use: Can be placed on top of the eyelid for cranial radiation therapy to protect the lens (the aluminum cap is not necessary for this usage).
